And she sleeps....

Violet has a shirt that says something like "Little girls are flowers and butterflies."  Not this little girl.  At this point she is mostly dirty diapers, farts, eating, and sleeping.  I guess the flowers and butterflies come later.


So far sleeping is what she does best.

Every 2-3 days, she gets a bath which she also suprisingly enjoys.

 She's eating a ton and seems to be filling out a little.  It'll be interesting to see how much she weighs next week at her 1 month doctors appointment.

Welcome baby Violet!

Violet May Dobratz entered into the world via c-section on 1/12/2011 at 8:04 a.m. and she was pissed!

She was 19 inches long and 6 pounds, 1 ounce.  What a tiny baby!

Everyone recovered well from surgery.

The grandparents were all very proud and excited to meet her.

It's been two weeks and everyone is getting adjusted to the new schedule at home.  V eats every two to three hours.  Most times she sleeps well in between.  Today I was cleared for driving and light exercise by my doctor, so we are starting to walk Violet in the stroller around the neighborhood.  We're hoping that exposing V to sunlight will encourage her to sleep more at night and be more awake during the day.  I think it's a pipe dream at this point.
